Why work with me?

Introduction

My journey and how it can support YOURS

Maybe you resonated with one of my videos online, someone you trust spread the word, or you simply landed on this page. In any case, here are things you probably don't know about me.

People often share what they feel from me, which is a grounding, balanced, calm, and gentle energy. But it wasn't always like that. A lot of turbulence has been faced.

Most of my life, I was living in fear and insecurity, avoiding risks, change, and novelty. Being shy and insecure, I was mainly playing video games in my free time. And I had no idea what I wanted to do in terms of college and career. This took me on a journey to my first depression and (chronic) stress - that's also when my hair started to fall out; I was 17.

Because of this fear dominating my life, I didn't really know what I wanted, liked or disliked, and it would prevent me from going out and experimenting. Making choices was horrible, as I was frozen by the possibility of making the wrong decision. I used to be a master procrastinator, as I would believe the narratives that I would fail or that I wasn't good enough.

At uni (studying something I didn't enjoy, but stayed anyway as I didn't know what else to do), anxiety became more frequent, especially towards the end (guess what? - I wasn't able to believe that I could finish it), leading to another period of chronic anxiety, stress, and worry, impacting other aspects of my life, including my relationship at that time.

Overcoming that, later on, another challenging cycle came up. I had panic attacks (a decent amount over the years) and another round of chronic anxiety, more depression, moments of hopelessness, a lot of crying, and disbelief. And as many people going through this, I couldn't contemplate a scenario where this would be different, where my life would be something that I really enjoyed.

I had no idea I could feel how I do and that I would be offering what I have been offering over the last few years.

This journey led me to learn (a lot!) about myself, and many skills, including emotional intelligence, mindfulness, other types of meditation, allowing vulnerability, open sharing, journaling, movement & embodiment, spirituality, organisation and time management, decision-making, connecting with intuition (the heart, inner wisdom, higher self), listening and honouring my needs and my ‘no’s, especially in terms of my body. What are my red flags, signs of potential burnout, and how to slow down before they happen again - oh yes, I also had a few burnouts =).

My path and biggest struggle was learning to believe in myself. The way I found was facing my fears and limiting beliefs, accepting change, taking risks, seeing adversity as a teacher to be welcomed, becoming mindful of how to use my time and energy, and reducing the noise so I could listen. Listen. Listen. Listen. Emptying the cup so new tea could be poured.

This has set the foundation to:

  • balance rest and action

  • make decisions based on love instead of fear

  • overcome procrastination (trust me, I totally nailed it back then)

  • have a supportive schedule, allowing for leisure and fun, and getting things done

  • bring flexibility to reschedule, cancel, and improvise

  • be clear on what empowers and what depletes my system

  • change careers

  • develop trust (in myself and in Life, Nature, the Universe)

  • set and sustain boundaries

  • be of service to others

  • inviting lightness and taking things less seriously, especially myself and my `mistakes`

  • live a fulfilling life

I'm grateful for it all, as it showed me a way to be of service by assisting people going through life crises, disconnection from their bodies, disruptive change, distractions, unsupportive habits, limiting beliefs, overthinking, lack of resilience and resources to deal with life's ups and downs.

And providing a space for those who are already living a life aligned with their values and want to dive deeper, be curious, explore, and expand their horizons.

If you resonate with any of this, it would be a gift and an honour to help on your journey.
